LVEDC Unveils New Lehigh Valley Sub-Regional Marketing Campaigns, Videos

In keeping with its mission to market the economic assets of the region, the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) has unveiled a new set of marketing campaigns drawing specific attention to the sub-regions of the Lehigh Valley.

Partnering with Digital Feast, LVEDC has developed videos, websites, high-quality photography, and printed brochures for Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Lehigh County, Northampton County, and the Slate Belt.

“The old days of thinking about competition as Allentown against Bethlehem, or Lehigh County against Northampton County, are long over, if they ever existed,” said Don Cunningham, LVEDC President and CEO. “But, while we will win as a region, we have heard the appeals from our local governments and counties to market specific assets and the uniqueness of various places in the Lehigh Valley.”

LVEDC and Digital Feast gathered input from elected officials and key stakeholders from each of the six sub-regions to ensure the key points were emphasized during the development of the marketing campaigns.

These campaigns will target businesses and site selectors across the country, informing them as to why they should invest in each sub-sector. The campaigns will be branded with the word Select, like “Select Northampton County” or “Select Lehigh County.”

“This initiative is perfectly aligned with LVEDC’s core mission to market the economic assets of the Lehigh Valley,” said Michael Keller, LVEDC Director of Marketing. “We welcome and encourage anyone to share these videos or embed them onto your company’s website, and help us spread the word about the Lehigh Valley.” To embed one of these video’s on your site, please have your web team contact for instructions.

These videos and marketing campaigns come in addition to a separate initiate LVEDC has undertaken with FireRock Productions, creating videos about the Lehigh Valley’s four target sectors, as well as the region’s entrepreneurial community and redevelopment projects. Two of the six planned videos have been released so far.

Online video traffic is predicted to make up to 80 percent of all consumer Internet traffic in 2019, according to the Cisco Visual Networking Index. That amount is up from 64 percent in 2014, meaning a rise of 16 percent in just five years.
