Video series to highlight Coca-Cola Refreshments
By LVEDC Staff on August 6, 2013
LVEDC is pleased to announce that the second video in our Getting Down to Business series will shine the spotlight on Coca-Cola Refreshments in Upper Macungie Township.
As you many recall, the company’s Syrup Manufacturing Facility has undergone a substantial $46 million expansion that allows the internationally renowned soft drink company to add bottling operations for its non-soda beverages: Powerade, vitaminwater and Fuze. These beverages are not only sold in stores here in the Lehigh Valley, but they’re also shipped to outlets from Maine to North Carolina.
Coca-Cola’s Schantz Road location continues to manufacture the syrup for the company’s iconic soda.
The project added plenty of fizz to the region’s economy. It assured the retention of 78 full-time positions and the creation of an additional 50 jobs – and it cemented the company’s commitment to the Lehigh Valley.
LVEDC has partnered with Allentown-based Thrive Media to produce our video series. We expect to have 10 videos completed over the next year. The first video, which focused on American Millwork in Emmaus, should be uploaded to our YouTube channel soon – and will find a spot on our lehighvalley.org website as well.
