TSW Alloy Wheels will be opening a new distribution facility at 4650 Braden Blvd. in Forks Township.
TSW Alloy Wheels, one of the oldest aftermarket wheel companies in the world and a key player in the international automotive alloy wheels market, will be opening a new distribution facility in the Lehigh Valley.
The company recently closed on the sale of a 106,000 square-foot facility in Forks Township for a new state-of-the-art distribution center that will allow them to expand further into the Northeast market due to Lehigh Valley’s central location and access to markets.
“The location in the Lehigh Valley will give us the ability to deliver to a massive amount of customers within 24 hours,” said Terence Scheckter, CEO of TSW Alloy Wheels.
Founded by a former Formula One driver, TSW Alloy Wheels offers the largest range of custom staggered wheels in the world. The company is known for its extremely high standards, an obsession for fitment, and passion for design.
Their new Lehigh Valley facility at 4650 Braden Blvd. East provides superb access to the Northeast’s major metropolitan regions, Scheckter said. The location puts more than 40% of the Nation’s population within a single day’s drive, he said, and will allow TSW to meet current market demands by providing customers with their product within 24 to 48 hours.
J.G. Petrucci Company Inc. announced the turnkey sale of the site to TSW. The distribution facility will be divided into two suites, with TSW occupying approximately 60,000 square feet of the building.
“Our top priority is to create quality facilities for our clients that will stand the test of time,” said Petrucci Executive Vice President Joe Correia. “We are thrilled to support the growth of TSW Alloy Wheels. 4650 Braden Blvd. East is ideally located in the Lehigh Valley, making this acquisition a tremendous opportunity for TSW.”
Scheckter added: “The team at Petrucci was great to work with and delivered a highly functional state-of-the-art building. They accommodated all of our needs and helped us to hit the ground running on day one.”
Situated on 9.6 acres, TSW’s new distribution warehouse facility features 36′ clear height, a capacity of up to 26 dock doors, two drive-in doors, motion sensor LED lighting, ESFR Fire Sprinkler System, and 4,000 AMP electric, Correia said.
TSW first opened a distribution center in Southern California before expanding its presence in the United States market to eight distribution centers.
Many TSW wheels are manufactured using an advanced manufacturing technique called rotary forging, which efficiently forges around shapes with ultimate precision. This process creates a wheel with tolerances that far exceed the industry standard, Scheckter said.
Petrucci has delivered more than 650 design/build projects for local, regional, and national leaders in a variety of industries. The firm owns and operates over 4.5 million square feet of commercial, industrial, and retail properties, 2,000 luxury apartment homes, and has extensive land holdings to offer its clients throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
