Rep. Ryan Mackenzie to Host LVEDC Conversation and Cocktails Event
By Colin McEvoy on September 23, 2016
Pennsylvania State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie will host the upcoming Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) Conversation and Cocktails event.
Energy issues, the state budget, and recent development and infrastructure projects will be among the discussion items at the Oct. 12 event, which will be held at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required. Fill out the form on this website to register today.
The Conversation and Cocktails series allows LVEDC investors a unique opportunity to have targeted interaction with members of the Lehigh Valley’s legislative body in an intimate setting to discuss pressing economic issues.
Other Conversation and Cocktails events held earlier this year were hosted by U.S. Rep Charlie Dent and U.S. Sen. Bob Casey.
Mackenzie has served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives since 2012, representing the 134th district, which includes Alburtis, Lower Macungie Township, Macungie, Salisbury Township, and South Whitehall Township, as well as parts of Berks County.
For the 2015-2016 legislative session, Mackenzie was selected to serve as Deputy Majority Whip and Deputy Chair of the Majority Policy Committee. He also serves as Secretary of the Environmental Resources & Energy Committee.
Mackenzie also recently attended a gathering of the Lehigh Valley’s legislative delegations, organized by LVEDC, to provide an overview of the regional economy and discuss important economic development issues in the Lehigh Valley.
“I thank LVEDC for keeping legislators informed of their work to promote economic growth in our region,” Mackenzie said following the meeting. “LVEDC is at the forefront of developing strategies to support employers as they seek to grow and expand in the Lehigh Valley.”
A general question-and-answer portion and networking session will follow Mackenzie’s address at the Conversation and Cocktails event. Butlered hors d’oeurves, beer, wine and soft drinks will be served.
Additional questions about the event can be directed to Michael Keller, LVEDC Director of Marketing, at mkeller@lehighvalley.org or 610-266-2217.
