The Pennsylvania Treasury office will host its highly-acclaimed Small Business Initiative Workshop in the Lehigh Valley later this month.
The workshop will be held at the Lehigh University College of Business and Economics on May 19 from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m., covering such topics as health and insurance corporate structure and governance, finance and revenue, and legal and intellectual property.
The Small Business Initiative is a statewide initiative aimed at increasing revenue and job growth of Pennsylvania-based small businesses. Held in only four regions across the state, it features an array of subject matter experts from the nation’s leading global and regional businesses to help small businesses address the pressing issues affecting their business.
For a limited time, the Pennsylvania Treasury is offering free registration for the first 40 small business owners who respond by May 11, using the code “Lehighcomp.” To register or learn more, visit patreasury.gov or call 717-787-2991.
William Hindle, president and owner of HindlePower, Inc., will be the featured keynote speaker at the May 19 seminar. HindlePower serves the power generation and transmission & distribution markets of the utility, renewable energy, oil & gas, and manufacturing industries.
The event also allows small businesses to learn in a small intimate classroom setting, register with state procurement agencies, and consult directly with professionals in traditional and alternative ways of financing, accounting, corporate and tax issues, health and insurance, and legal-related matters.
The workshop is targeted toward Pennsylvania-based business owners, CEOs, franchisees, CFOs, COOs, senior management, and partners. It is suggested at least two representatives from each company attend, and that attendees should be in business a minimum of two years with gross revenues exceeding $250,000.
The event includes over 12 hours of workshops covering four topics, and attendees may choose up to three workshops. Each one provides 60 minutes of knowledge and a consultation by an industry professional. See below for a schedule with a specific list of topics and workshops. (Click on the image to enlarge.)
