October 2021 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The October 2021 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.
This month’s edition highlights stories about Made Possible in Lehigh Valley’s profile of Instagram user DoctaJayyy, the LVEDC executive video interview series, a Bethlehem tech company launching UBMeFood.com, and Penn State Lehigh Valley completing its $14.4 million expansion.
Other stories include an interview with BFTP/NEP President & CEO Angelo Valletta, the newest educator at the Da Vinci Science Center, Lafayette College’s new Dyer Center Innovation Advisory Board, and OraSure Technologies secured a $205 million contract for its COVID-19 tests.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including the third annual Lehigh Valley Internship Summit, Startup Lehigh Valley, the pitch event for the EUREKA! Ventures Competition, LVTech’s monthly meetup event, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners’ annual Venture Idol event.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
