October 2020 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The October 2020 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about PBS NewsHour highlighting Lehigh Valley’s economic transformation, a Bethlehem startup making a device that can detect if you’re wearing a mask, and LVEDC’s executive video interview series.
Other stories include the opening of the flexible workspace Venture X, a Lehigh University project seeking to determine the impacts of the pandemic, the Allentown startup ProphetLogic’s growth thanks to Velocity IA, and Lehigh Valley benefitting from a new office trend.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern PA’s Venture Idol, LVtech’s monthly meetup, Lehigh University’s EUREKA! pitch competition, and an LVEDC congressional candidate forum.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is ProphetLogic, which helps its national portfolio of clients in the IT Services and Software industries find and connect with new customers through targeted outreach campaigns.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
