October 2019 Issue of LVstartup E-Newsletter Has Been Released

The October 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about the Downtown Allentown Marketing opening, a LaunchBox Ladies event featuring female athlete entrepreneurs, Keurig Dr Pepper announcing a manufacturing facility in Lehigh Valley, and a night of innovation for pet product companies.
Other stories included Air Products opening its new corporate headquarters, a coworking company coming to South Bethlehem, job growth continuing in Lehigh Valley, and Bethlehem-based Saladax developing a rapid test to aid schizophrenic patients.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including LVtech’s monthly meetup, the EUREKA! student entrepreneurship competiton, the LVEDC Fall Signature Event with guest company OraSure Technologies, and the bi-annual Lehigh Valley Meet the Buyers Expo.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Alpha Packaging, a Bethlehem-based company that manufactures plastic bottles and jars for the nutritional, pharmaceutical, personal care, housewares, consumer chemical, and niche food and beverage markets.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
