November 2020 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The November 2020 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about drone-based firefighting systems, student art helping launch COVID-19 safety campaigns, Lehigh Valley’s thriving life sciences sector, and the Made Possible in Lehigh Valley initiative.
Other stories include a Lafayette graduate’s work on a water reuse program for drought-prone San Diego, Saladax Biomedical hiring new employees, the latest Penn State Lehigh Valley LaunchBox event, and DNA Genotek developing a COVID-19 testing device.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern PA’s Venture Idol, LVtech’s monthly meetup, the Factory LLC holding its second annual StartUp Lehigh Valley event, and the monthly EUREKA! Pitch Competition.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
