November 2019 Issue of LVstartup E-Newsletter Has Been Released

The November 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about growth in Lehigh Valley’s 18-34 age group, the 2019 Ben Franklin Venture Idol competition, a new event seeking to position the region as an innovation hub, and a round-up of business incubator space available n Lehigh Valley.
Other stories included the LVB Fastest Growing Companies event, Ben Franklin Technology Partners investing $578,000 in regional economic development, 520 Lofts in Allentown winning an award, and the CEO CryoConcepts making a presentation before the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including LVtech’s monthly meetup, the EUREKA! student entrepreneurship competiton, and the next in installment of Lehigh Valley Launchbox event series “LaunchBox Ladies” event series, entitled “Women in the Military and Beyond.”
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is FLX Solutions, a Bethlehem-based startup based in the Ben Franklin TechVentures incubator that creates a 3-D printed flexible snake robot that can be used for inspections and repairs through walls and in data center computers.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
