New LVStartup Highlights Coronavirus News for Lehigh Valley Entrepreneurs

The April 2020 issue of LVstartup has been released, with this edition of the monthly e-newsletter highlighting coronavirus-related news entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley.

This month’s edition highlighted stories about Fanatics making hospital gowns and masks from the same fabric it uses for MLB uniforms, Lehigh Valley companies producing 3D-printed protection masks, and LifeAire Systems manufacturing air purification systems that can help fight against COVID-19.
Other stories included Lehigh Valley distilleries making hand sanitizier, aquarium equipment manufacturer EcoTech Marine moving to a new Bethlehem space, and Freshpet giving its employees $50 gift cards for take-out meals to support Lehigh Valley restaurants during the pandemic.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
