The mayors of Lehigh Valley’s three cities – Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton – will emphasize their collaborative efforts to address housing, urban core development, sustainability, and other important regional issues as part of a roundtable discussion moderated by Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. President and CEO Don Cunningham at the LVEDC Annual Meeting on March 21 at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

LVEDC’s Annual Meeting celebrates the economic highlights and successes of the last 12 months and addresses key issues facing the regional economy. The mayors’ roundtable is the first announced agenda item in what will be an exciting Annual Meeting program featuring business and community leaders. More agenda items will be announced in the coming weeks as LVEDC confirms speakers and panelists.

The mayors’ roundtable will feature Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk, Bethlehem Mayor J. William Reynolds, and Easton Mayor Sal Panto, who announced recently the creation of a 3-city collaboration that will develop shared solutions to address issues common to all Lehigh Valley municipalities.

LVEDC’s Annual Meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m., with doors opening at 2:30 p.m. Networking and bar service will be available before and after the meeting, with hors d’oeuvres served after the program from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

LVEDC’s Annual Meeting focuses on the Lehigh Valley’s economy, which emerged in 2022 stronger than ever. Every indicator – including jobs, labor force size, and economic output – shows that the region has recovered from recent economic shocks and is exceeding previous high points.

Nearly 60 companies announced or completed projects to locate or expand operations in the Lehigh Valley in 2022. The regional economy is again led by manufacturing, with more than $8 billion in output. The population is growing, particularly among people ages 18 to 34, and becoming more diverse.
