The March 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about a new interactive map for Lehigh Valley entrepreneurs, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania helping create or retain nearly 6,000 jobs, and the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center in Allentown celebrating a record year.
Other stories include the Lehigh Valley ranking among the top five regions of its size in the U.S. for economic development, the winners of the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” student video contest, and City Center Allentown preleasing residential units from the new Walnut Street Commons complex.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including LVEDC’s 2019 Annual Meeting, this month’s LVTech meetup, the Baker Institute’s EUREKA! Pitch Nights event, the next “LaunchBox Ladies: From Passion to Profit” event, and the bi-annual Lehigh Valley Meet the Buyers Expo.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is NextShift, a healthcare technology innovation group committed to “creating better healthcare” by working with its clients and partners to develop breakthrough digital solutions.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
