Made Possible in Lehigh Valley Receives Two ADDY Awards

The Made Possible in Lehigh Valley initiative has received two ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation/Greater Lehigh Valley Advertising Club (AAF-GLV).
The Made Possible in Lehigh Valley marketing video, created by FireRock Productions and commissioned by the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), received an award in the category of “Internet Commercial, Single Spot, Any Length.”
Additionally, the Made Possible campaign also received an award in the “Copywriting” category for the video’s voice-over script, which was written by Jill Yapsuga, who teaches writing at DeSales University.

The Made Possible in Lehigh Valley initiative seeks to tell the positive stories of the people and businesses of Lehigh Valley, increase outside awareness of the region, and encourage others to visit, work, and live here.
“Collaboration is at the heart of the Made Possible Lehigh Valley campaign, as well as this video project,” said Julia Urich, owner of FireRock Productions. “That’s why it’s so fitting that it won American Advertising Awards for both the commercial and copywriting categories.”
The ADDY Awards were presented on March 6 at an event at DeSales University in Upper Saucon Township.

A new Made Possible in Lehigh Valley alliance was announced last month, which includes LVEDC, Discover Lehigh Valley, and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The alliance will allow the three organizations to combine their strengths and pool resources around common strategies to position the Lehigh Valley as an attractive and welcoming place for visitors, professionals, families, and companies.
“We’re also so thrilled to see LVEDC, Discover Lehigh Valley, and the Chamber collaborating in a way we have been dreaming about for years,” Urich said. “The Made Possible campaign is exactly what the region needs and we’re grateful to be a part of it.”
These two ADDY Awards are not the first such recognitions for Made Possible in Lehigh Valley. The video also received an Emmy nomination for Best Commercial (Single Spot), and an Excellence in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council.
The AAF-GLV is an organization that brings together the broadest range of communications professionals who work and live in our community: advertising agency employees, print vendors, interactive experts, media reps, PR people, in-house marketing teams, photographers, package designers and communications students from area colleges.
“Everyone should be proud of the work they produced over this past year,” James Taylor, President of AAF-GLV, said of this year’s award recipients.
Julia Urich, producer and director of the Made Possible video, accepted the ADDY Awards, along with FireRock’s Rocky Urich, who was the video’s producer, editor, and director of photography.
