LVstartup: The Race for the Flying Car, Finding Space for Your Startup
By Colin McEvoy on February 2, 2017
Inventors and entrepreneurs have long tried to make the dream of a flying car a reality, so far with no success. But that may be changing, as nearly a dozen companies around the globe are competing to be the first to develop such an aircraft.
But in the meantime, if you have a startup company and you’re looking for somewhere to grow and thrive – whether you’re working on a flying car or not – there is space available for you in the Lehigh Valley.
These are just two of the stories featured in the latest issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter for entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, the new edition of which was released on Thursday.

Among the other stories highlighted are LVEDC releasing a new Lehigh Valley Economic Development magazine, multiple Lehigh Valley startups receiving state tax credits, a Bethlehem biomedical company licensing tests for Alzheimer’s disease, and much more.
The latest LVstartup also spotlights several upcoming events, including The 4 Essential Elements of Marketing for Entrepreneurs, an information session at the LaunchBayC student idea accelerator, a knowledge session about “Tax credits, tax credits, and more tax credits!”, and the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Career Expo (LVCCE).
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Hager Biosciences, a Bethlehem-based bio-pharmaceutical startup that provides pre-clinical therapeutic leads and candidates through drug discovery chemistry platforms for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
