LVstartup: Preventing Aging, Snake-Like Robots, Paintballs, and More!

Those are just a few of the stories highlighted in the latest issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, which was released on June 7.
Other featured stories include a distraction expert speaking at Ben Franklin’s iXchange event, a new manufacturer joining the Bridgeworks business incubator in Allentown, an expert panel discussion about the region’s urban growth, and a French baked goods company explaining why it is glad they chose to establish its first American facility in the Lehigh Valley.
This month’s LVstartup also includes a roundup of available business incubator space in the Lehigh Valley.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including an LVTech meetup about information security, Northampton Community College’s Fab Lab‘s opening activities, a free Bethlehem business seminar about social media, and LVEDC’s unveiling of its talent supply report.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Andromeda LED Lighting, which offers a wide array of highly efficient LED lighting products. The startup has been supported by the Lehigh Valley LaunchBox program.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
