By Colin McEvoy on March 28, 2019
The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) is proud to host a legislative update event with U.S. Rep Susan Wild, the newest representative of the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District.
The event will be held Wednesday, April 24, at the Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown. Registration is free for LVEDC investors and non-investors alike. Click here to register or for more information.
Wild has been a member of the Lehigh Valley community for more than 30 years. Her two adult children were born and raised in the Valley, where they attended public schools. Wild built a successful legal practice while raising her two children and became the first woman to be appointed as Allentown City Solicitor.
Wild, a Democrat, was elected in November 2018 as the first woman to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the weeks before the event, LVEDC hosted a congressional forum with Wild and each of the candidates.
She has been appointed to the House Education and Labor Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee and is committed to fighting for quality, affordable health care for all, an economy that benefits every member of our community, and reforming our political system to return government to the American people.
Registration for the event will start at 4:30 p.m., with the program to begin at 5 p.m. Networking, refreshments, and hors d’oeuvres will follow the program and run from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
