The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation will host its 2023 LVEDC Annual Meeting on March 21, marking a return to an in-person event for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The event will be held at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. Pre-registration will be required; visit here to register.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for the 2023 LVEDC Annual Meeting. For more information, contact Stephanie Wean at [email protected].
The Annual Meeting event will recognize and celebrate another banner year in economic development for the Lehigh Valley.
In the past year, the regional GDP reached a record-high $47 billion, manufacturing is once again the Lehigh Valley’s top economic sector, and the region has seen a full recovery of the jobs lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It seems that each year a new chapter is written on the economic renaissance of the Lehigh Valley,” said LVEDC President & CEO Don Cunningham. “2022 was a year to be proud of in terms of economic development in the Lehigh Valley, and we look forward to highlighting those accomplishments at our Annual Meeting.”
The Annual Meeting program will be held at 3:30 p.m. on March 21. Doors will open and registration will begin at 2:30 p.m., with networking and bar service available both before and after the program itself.
Hard and digital copies of the LVEDC 2022 Annual Report will also be released during the Annual Meeting event. Each year, the report highlights economic data and trends, major projects, and LVEDC initiatives from the past year. The 2021 Annual Report can be downloaded here.
This will mark the first in-person LVEDC Annual Meeting since 2019. The 2020 event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and the 2021 and 2022 events were held virtually due to public health guidance resulting from the pandemic.
had been held virtually for the past two years due to health restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic.
