LVEDC Talent Supply Update: Expected Barriers to Business Growth

Each week, Karianne Gelinas, Director of Talent Supply with the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), will provide an update and additional information about its ongoing initiative to identify talent supply and demand issues in the region and create a strategy that results in a broader, ongoing understanding of the Lehigh Valley workforce. The LVEDC talent supply study currently underway is part of a larger initiative brings together employers, educators, and regional workforce and economic development providers to increase knowledge about talent supply and demand.
One important component to that is the barriers to business growth that companies are expecting as they head into the future.
During a recent survey of Lehigh Valley manufacturers, the accounting, tax, and advisory firm Kreischer Miller asked participants to identify those expected barriers. The results can be found below:
