LVEDC Talent Supply Update: Establishments by Employee Range

Each week, Karianne Gelinas, Director of Talent Supply with the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), will provide an update and additional information about its ongoing initiative to identify talent supply and demand issues in the region and create a strategy that results in a broader, ongoing understanding of the Lehigh Valley workforce. (See past updates.)
In this week’s update about the ongoing LVEDC talent supply study, we’re looking at data our organization has gathered showing the quantity of establishments by employee range within four specific subsectors of the Lehigh Valley economy.
The graph below includes regional establishments within manufacturing; transportation and warehousing; health care & social assistance; and professional, scientific, & technical services.
Those are among the key target sectors our talent supply initiative is focused upon, based in part on the economic forecast in those sectors and the local workforce skills/talent gap.
