Dawn Ferrante: LVEDC’s Business Outreach Program utilizes a community aspect to helping Lehigh Valley companies achieve additional profitability.

There’s a saying: You don’t know what you got, till it’s gone.

Song lyrics aside, the statement can indeed prove accurate. And it’s certainly true when it comes to keeping the companies already here in the Lehigh Valley moving along and staying strong.

LVEDC’s Business Outreach Program (BOP) uses a customer-oriented approach to economic development that connects our region’s businesses to resources throughout the community.

“The goal of the program is two-fold,” said Dawn Ferrante, director of regional competitiveness. “One is to provide a single point-of-contact for all of your business needs. Second is to help identify resources to assist companies in succeeding in workforce training and recruitment, exporting, strategic and business planning, financing and more.”

To advance this agenda, LVEDC and its partners are seeking the following professional consulting services:

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) is one member of the Lehigh Valley Partnership for Regional Economic Performance (LVPREP) along with the Lehigh University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC).

As such, and in accordance with the Common Rule (24 CFR Part 84), which establishes standards for the procurement of property and services involving the expenditure of federal funds, the LVEDC hereby requests proposals from qualified individuals and organizations for the provision of professional consulting services for Workforce and Economic Development Strategic Planning.
