LVEDC Releases Employer Survey About Internships With Educational Institutions
By Colin McEvoy on March 5, 2019
The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) is seeking input from employers about opportunities to partner with regional colleges and universities in securing and retaining talent through internship programs.
LVEDC’s newly-formed Strategic Initiatives and Research department has released a three-question survey, with the ultimate goal of creating streamlined partnerships between the educational institutions and local organizations.
The survey was created based on feedback from the year-long study LVEDC commissioned to assess the regional talent market and identify wide-ranging strategies to grow, recruit, develop, and retain talent in the Lehigh Valley.
“The data we gather from this survey and other ongoing efforts of the LVEDC Education and Talent Supply Council will help us understand employers’ needs, plan according to their input, and support the regional talent pipeline,” said Karianne Gelinas, LVEDC Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Research.
The survey can be found here.
