The awards have been etched, the food ordered and the programs printed – it must be time for the 2013 LVEDC Awards event!

If you haven’t already done so, please RSVP now so we can reserve your seat at the Wednesday, Oct. 16 event which will be held at Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown.

Registration starts at 4:30 p.m. in the lobby of Symphony Hall. The awards ceremony will kick off at 5 p.m. sharp. Then it’s on with the show that promises to be an entertaining and lively look at those companies and individuals who have played a major role in helping the Lehigh Valley economy flourish over the past 12 months.

The winners all made headlines for coming to the Lehigh Valley, expanding in the Lehigh Valley, or creating jobs for the Lehigh Valley – National Penn Bank, Crayola, Michelman Steel Enterprises, Follett Corporation, Freshpet and Ocean Spray. The Green Knight Economic Development Corp. is also slated to receive an award for its work in the Slate Belt region of Lehigh Valley.

Don Cunningham, President and CEO of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, will serves as master of ceremonies. Donald Bernhard, Director of Community Affairs for PPL Corporation, will speak on behalf of our title sponsor. Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski will provide the “welcome to my city” comments.

The festivities will conclude with a networking and cocktail reception in Symphony Hall’s Rodale Community Room.
