By Colin McEvoy on March 15, 2018
The Lehigh Valley saw another year of historic economic growth in 2017, and you can read all about it in the LVEDC 2017 Annual Report.
The 32-page document, which was distributed for the first time at the LVEDC 2018 Annual Meeting on March 14, provides an overview of the economic success stories from the past year, as well as the major initiative undertaken by LVEDC.
Those stories include the region’s record-high $39.1 billion GDP, its manufacturing sector growth, the expansion of many existing regional companies, LVEDC’s focus on international investment, the region leading the state in post-Recession job growth, and much more.
A digital version of the report can be downloaded here and browsed above. Hard copies can also be made available upon request.
Additionally, LVEDC has released a digital microsite of the 2017 annual report, which in addition to the annual report content includes an interactive map of the 31 major Lehigh Valley economic development projects LVEDC worked on in 2017.
Filtered by three different stages (announced, completed, or under construction), the user can click on pinpoints of each of projects on the map to obtain more information.
The microsite can be visited here. It was designed by Weidenhammer Creative, which also designed LVEDC’s main website. Like that site, the digital annual report is the result of in-depth market research studying mid-sized economic development organizations across the country.
The hard copy of the LVEDC 2017 Annual Report was designed by Michelle Chrin, who has designed the organization’s annual report for the last three years, as well as its Commercial Real Estate Reports, Investment Opportunities brochure, and other marketing materials.
