Lehigh Valley’s Fastest Growing Companies Recognized
By Colin McEvoy on October 28, 2015

A total of 31 companies were recognized at the Lehigh Valley Business Fastest Growing Companies event.
The Lehigh Valley is the fastest growing region in the state of Pennsylvania, and today, the region’s fastest growing companies were recognized.
Thirty-one businesses were honored at the fourth annual Lehigh Valley Business (LVB) Fastest Growing Companies at DeSales University. The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) was a premier sponsor for the event.
“Each of the companies represented here today play a role in the growth that the Lehigh Valley has experienced, and LVEDC looks forward to working with all of you to help facilitate further growth for years to come,” said Matthew Tuerk, LVEDC Vice President of Administration and Investor Relations.
The companies recognized during the ceremony have created almost 2,300 jobs combined, according to LVB.
“These businesses we’re honoring today and their leaders are an inspiration to other business people, employees, and their community,” said David Schankweiler, CEO of Journal Multimedia, the parent company for LVB.
The Bethlehem cosmetics company Rea.deeming Beauty Inc. topped the list this year. Founded in 2005 by celebrity makeup artist Rea Ann Silva, the company has more than 60 employees and is constantly adding new products to its already successful line of makeup tools, Schankweiler said.
Customers Bank and the Azzur Group were second and third on the list, respectively, followed by MGN Logistics Inc. of Easton, and Jerdon Construction Services LLC of Allentown. Also rounding out the top ten were VFD Technologies Inc. of Bethlehem, the Follett Corporation of Forks Township, and INetU of Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
“Growing a company can be stressful,” Schankweiler said. “There are so many factors to get right, from creating scalable processes and procedures, to having the right capital plan for equipment and facilities, to hiring the right people who fit in with your culture.”
The companies were ranked based on a combination of percentage revenue growth and dollar revenue growth over the last three years, Schankweiler said. Companies were eligible if they recorded revenue of at least $500,000 in two out of the last three fiscal years.
Much like the companies being recognized, the Lehigh Valley has been on a steady pattern of growth in recent years, Tuerk said. Site Selection magazine ranked it the top-performing region for economic development in the Northeastern United States, and has ranked it the Top 10 of best-performing metropolitan areas for seven consecutive years.
Additionally, LVEDC announced last month that the Lehigh Valley’s gross domestic product has risen above the $35 billion mark for the first time,” Tuerk said. “To put that into perspective, the Lehigh Valley’s GDP is higher than that of the entire state of Vermont, and that of 94 other countries in the world.”
