June 2021 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The June 2021 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about the Lehigh Valley receiving front-page attention from The New York Times, Bethlehem ranking among Pennsylvania’s “most charming small cities,” and the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris visiting Allentown.
Other stories highlight the Ben Franklin iXchange, USSF undertaking clinical trials for an oral COVID-19 vaccine, a product by Bethlehem-based Cernostics generating attention, and the Real Estate Lab in Allentown announcing its first set of graduates.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including LVtech’s monthly virtual meeting, and the registration deadline for the virtual 2021 Teen Entrepreneur Challenge, hosted by Penn State Lehigh Valley and Lehigh Valley LaunchBox.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Bio Med Sciences, which has been improving lives with creative solutions for health care providers and consumers around the world.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
