June 2020 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The June 2020 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about LifeAire Systems designing a decontamination unit for N95 masks, President Donald Trump visiting a Lehigh Valley manufacturer, and an organ company in the region pivoting to produce medical equipment.
Other stories included a panel discussion of women entrepreneurs discussing how to navigate the new normal, OraSure Technologies planning to acquire an HIV diagnostic testing company, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s first-ever virtual “Tiger Session.”
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including the next LVtech monthly meetup, and the latest LaunchBox Ladies event featuring women entrepreneurs from the region.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is the Bethlehem-based Orbweaver, the first and only provider of complete, real-time supply chain integration solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
