This month’s edition highlights stories about a Lafayette College alumnus launching a sci-fi board game, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania supporting regional companies, and four Lehigh Valley school districts being featured among the best What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? videos in Pennsylvania.
Other stories included the Made Possible in Lehigh Valley campaign telling the region’s stories, a Lehigh University team working to disrupt the spread of COVID-19, OraSure Technologies receiving funding for a coronavirus antibody test, and an Allentown company developing the hygienic elevator button product PushSafe.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including a Code Together event, LVtech’s monthly meetup, and an application to virtually pitch in Lehigh University’s EUREKA! Summer Pitch Competition.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is PayrollMart, which offers a software-as-a-service platform that makes the processes of pricing and quoting, and then implementing payroll services easy for small and mid-size employers.
The Brookings Institution, a think tank based in Washington, D.C., earlier this year ranked Lehigh Valley among the top 10 places its size in its entrepreneurship category.
