July 2019 Issue of LVstartup E-Newsletter Has Been Released

The July 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about the Made Possible in Lehigh Valley Instagram account, Freshpet bringing in its canine customers for a groundbreaking, the Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Syrup Plant growing, and how a Lehigh Valley startup helped a woman who had acid thrown on her.
Other stories include LVEDC’s summary of Lehigh Valley economic development in the first six months of 2019, Martin Guitar announcing its biggest capital investment in company history, and City Center Investment Corp. announcing the first merchants for the future Downtown Allentown Market.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including LVtech’s Summer Series: Making Technology event,the bi-annual Lehigh Valley Meet the Buyers Expo, and Demo Day at Lehigh University’s Hatchery student idea accelerator program.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Bio Med Sciences, which delivers leading technology to the burn treatment, plastic surgery and aesthetic skin care markets.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
