The latest issue, released on Oct. 4, features several news stories from around the Lehigh Valley, including Upside Allentown entering the fourth year of its six-year campaign, the Lehigh Valley GDP reaching a record-high $40.1 billion, and a new study finding the Lehigh Valley has a far more affordable cost of living that most Northeast markets.

It also includes a roundup of available business incubator space in the Lehigh Valley, and a feature story from Entrepreneur magazine about how Guy Fieri balances his career as a chef, television star, vinteur, and entrepreneur.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.

LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
