Glenn Koehler Hired as New LVEDC Digital Marketing Manager

The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation has hired an experienced marketing professional for a new position that will utilize LVEDC’s digital marketing platforms to help better execute on the organization’s mission to market the economic assets of the region.
Glenn Koehler, who most recently worked as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the National Museum of Industrial History in Bethlehem, has joined the LVEDC team as its new Digital Marketing Manager.
In his capacity in this newly-created position, Koehler will work to align web, social media, and video content with LVEDC’s strategic objectives as identified in the organization’s new three-year strategic plan.
“As a Lehigh Valley native, I’m thrilled to join the accomplished team at LVEDC and to help further the region as a destination for businesses and talented workers through new digital avenues,” Koehler said.
The Digital Marketing Manager was established in direct response to the LVEDC strategic plan. The position will seek to develop and execute digital media plans, engage audiences with creative content, and track performance of marketing programs.
“Glenn’s professional background, familiarity with the region, and vast understanding of technology and digital marketing tools make him the perfect fit for this important new position,” said LVEDC President & CEO Don Cunningham. “His knowledge and experience will help us bring the organization’s digital marketing and communications efforts to the next level.”
Koehler will report to LVEDC Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Research George Lewis, joining a team that also includes Director of Communications Colin McEvoy and Director of Market Research & Communications Nicole Radzievich Mertz.
Among his job responsibilities will be managing content and design of LVEDC’s websites, overseeing production and placement of organic and paid media digital marketing, and managing LVEDC’s social media outlets on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Koehler worked for seven years at the National Museum of Industrial History, where he was responsible for all aspects of creative, marketing, brand building, and public relations efforts starting from prior to the museum’s opening.
Koehler is also Vice President and Festival Director Emeritus of the SouthSide Film Festival in Bethlehem. Additionally, he is a freelance photographer who has won various photography awards from the Pocono Arts Council and ArtsQuest.
“I’m someone who lives and breathes the Lehigh Valley, and I can’t wait to share my passion for what we have to offer,” Koehler said. “Growing up and seeing the continued development of the Lehigh Valley, and now getting a chance to be a part of it, will be an exciting experience.”
Koehler has an Associate of Applied Science degree in marketing from Northampton Community College. He has also previously won the Spirit of Tourism Award from Discover Lehigh Valley, and was named Public Information Officer of the Year by the Pennsylvania Wing Civil Air Patrol.
