February 2023 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The February 2023 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights C.F. Martin & Co. CEO Thomas Ripsam, an accomplished strategist who spent his career advising businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. The long-form Q&A is part of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Suite Spot interview series.
Other stories included reports on the passing of the Ira “Bob” Born, the innovator behind the automated process that makes marshmallow Peeps at Just Born, an expansion of CryoConcepts, a life sciences company that got its start at Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, and Penn State alumna Jill Crane’s new position as Director of Lehigh Valley LaunchBox Innovation Hub at Penn State Lehigh Valley,
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. The featured startup for February is Polymer Contours, a leader in custom injection molding, is located at Bridgeworks Enterprise Center in Allentown. The company serves a wide range of industries, including medical, transportation and food service.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
