February 2021 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The February 2021 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about the release of the Lehigh Valley Hot Careers Guide, OraSure COVID collection kits being used in the UK, Bethlehem startups receiving KIZ tax credits, and Made Possible in Lehigh Valley’s story about Martin Guitar.
Other stories include UBMe partnering with Bethlehem to improve COVID vaccine distribution, LifeAire Systems being featured on WITF SmartTalk, a local artist helping bring revenue to museums around the world, and a Lafayette College professor appearing on CNN.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including the LVTech monthly meetup, the monthly EUREKA! Pitch Competition, an information session about Lehigh University’s Hatchery program, the State of Lehigh County address, and the LVEDC 2021 Annual Meeting.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Optamo, a software development and consulting firm, specializing in the enhancement of business processes in correctional systems.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
