The February 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about the growth of Lehigh Valley’s 18-34 demographic, a 14-foot dinosaur being featured at the Fab Lab, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania growing the state economy by $4.1 billion.
Other stories include Bethlehem startups receiving $405,567 in tax credits, the Lehigh Valley Health Network announcing plans for a new hospital campus, and the announced award winners for the upcoming Ben Franklin iXchange event.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including this month’s LVTech meetup, information sessions about Lehigh University’s Hatchery program, the Baker Institute’s EUREKA! Pitch Nights event, LVEDC’s 2019 Annual Meeting, and the bi-annual Lehigh Valley Meet the Buyers Expo.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is CryoConcepts, a Bethlehem-based medical device developer and manufacturer of products aimed at delivering cryogenic gases for a wide range of medical professionals in the most efficient way possible.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
