Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong will deliver his annual State of the County address on Feb. 17.

Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong will deliver his annual State of Lehigh County address in-person once again this year.

The event will take place on February 17 at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, beginning at 4 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required. Please visit here for the registration form.

“The 2022 State of the County Address will be dedicated to the people, and show how we as their county government will work for them in the face of new and unprecedented challenges,” Armstrong said. “This is the time to share with our residents what we have in store for Lehigh County, and as County Executive, it is an honor to present these plans that will continue to shape and grow our community as we look to the future.”

The State of the County address will take place on the club level at Coca-Cola Park at 1050 Ironpigs Way in Allentown. The event is being hosted by the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC).

This event is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors Workforce Board Lehigh Valley (presenting sponsor), Lehigh Valley International Airport (gold sponsor), and Lee & Associates (gold sponsor).

Additional sponsorship is still available. Contact LVEDC Program Administrator Stephanie Wean at swean@lehighvalley.org for more information.

Among the topics to be addressed during the event are Lehigh County’s COVID-19 Response, the county’s five-year plan, election integrity, and infrastructure, Armstrong said.

Other topics will include emergency rental assistance, small business assistance, non-profit grants, and the Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehabilitation center, among others.

The event will begin with a networking session at 4 p.m., with Armstrong’s address to be delivered at 4:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and bar service to follow the address.

Attendees are encouraged to wear face masks in the interest of public health, but it is not a requirement.

LVEDC will also host a State of Northampton County address by Executive Lamont McClure, which is expected to be held later this year.
