December 2019 Issue of LVstartup E-Newsletter Has Been Released

The December 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about a Lehigh Valley-based maker of the saffron spice, the s’mores snack manufacturer Stuffed Puffs opening a new facility, a Lehigh University graduate landing a job at NASA,
Other stories included Delta Air Lines featuring Lehigh Valley in its in-flight magazine, the latest LaunchBox Ladies event, Frutta Bowls coming to the Downtown Allentown, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners investing $578,000 in the regional economy.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events including an on-campus day for LehighSiliconValley 2020, Lehigh University’s immersive entrepreneurship experience.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Stuffed Puffs, is a confectionery maker of marshmallows with the chocolate already inside. The company recently chose Hanover Township, Northampton County, for its new 150,000 square-foot manufacturing facility, creating 134 new full-time jobs.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
