The Butz Family of Companies, consisting of Alexander Building Construction Co., Alvin H. Butz, Inc., and Shoemaker Construction Co., earned a spot on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) list of the Top 100 Construction Management-at-Risk Firms in 2014.

This year, the firm ranked 84th and was the only Pennsylvania-based firm to earn a spot on the list.

The construction management entity also ranked 209th on ENR’s list of the Top 400 Contractors in 2014.

The Butz family has a long, successful tradition of building in the Lehigh Valley that dates back to the mid-1800s, when the family constructed covered bridges. Alvin H. Butz, Inc. has been continuously owned and operated in the Lehigh Valley by the Butz family, with the 6th generation in line to preserve the tradition and reputation of the organization. Butz pioneered the Construction Management concept in the Lehigh Valley in 1973.
