Businesses and societies across the planet are more connected than ever before. And one event showcases how Lehigh Valley businesses can gain a competitive edge in this constantly evolving environment.

“Bringing The World To You,” the Lehigh Valley’s premier international conference, will take place from 8 a.m. through 3 p.m. on September 15th at Ben Franklin Tech Ventures, Bethlehem.

The Lehigh University Export Network (LEXNET) will host Pennsylvania overseas trade representatives who will be available to meet with Lehigh Valley companies to assist them with various topics including:

• Determining the marketability of a product
• Agent/distributor search
• Identifying relevant trade events
• Providing support at trade shows
• Providing support with potential partner meetings
• Reviewing marketing materials
• Market research reports
• Assistance with market-entry strategy

The event will feature trade representatives from the Arab Gulf; Australia; New Zealand; Brazil; Canada; Central and Eastern Europe; Chile; France; India; Indonesia; Mexico; the Netherlands and Belgium; Russia; Saudi Arabia; South Korea, Taiwan and the United Kingdom/Ireland and Scandinavia, among others.

The event kicks off with a breakfast program entitled “Developing and International Presence in Europe” before a 90-minute session that will allow Lehigh Valley businesses to meet one-on-one with trade representatives.

A 45-minute workshop on “International Trade Laws” will follow at 10:30 a.m., followed by a lunch program entitled “Global Economic Outlook for 2015.”

Following a short break, a 60-minute workshop focusing on “International Finance Option” will commence at 2 p.m. and one-on-one meetings with trade reps will conclude the event through 4 p.m.
