For a third consecutive year, a cosmetics company based near Bethlehem has taken the number one spot in the Lehigh Valley Business (LVB) Fastest Growing Companies list.

Forty-five businesses were honored at the sixth annual event on Oct. 25, which was held at DeSales University in Upper Saucon Township. The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) was the major sponsor for the event.

Rea.deeming Beauty Inc. topped the Fastest Growing Companies list again this year. Based in Hanover Township, Northampton County, it is the creator and manufacturer of the award-winning beautyblender makeup sponge applicator.

Eric Haydt, Chief Financial Officer for Rea.deeming Beauty, accepted the award on the company’s behalf. Since its founding in 2002, Haydt said Rea.Deeming Beauty has grown from three employees to 128.

“That growth has inspired all of our employees to work as a team, to work hard, innovate, and always be prepared to do something different tomorrow from what you did today,” Haydt said. “That’s what got us here today.”

During introductory remarks at the event, Jaime Whalen, LVEDC Vice President of Administration and Investor Relations, said the Lehigh Valley GDP has grown to a record-high $39 billion, and the region is now the 65th largest economy in the United States, up eight spots from last year.

“The growth we’ve seen as a region is thanks in part to all of you here today: the fastest growing companies in the Lehigh Valley,” Whalen said. “On behalf of LVEDC, I’d like to thank you for your contributions and dedications to the Lehigh Valley, and for the part you’ve played and will continue to play in our amazing economic success story.”

The Hillis Group, an Easton-based construction company, came in second place in the Fastest Growing Companies list, while D&B Elite Construction Group, Allied Building Corporation, and RER Energy Group placed third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

Applicants were required to supply three years of revenue information, demonstrate revenue of at least $500,000 in two of those three years, and show increasing revenue over the three-year period. The company with the largest dollar growth received the highest ranking.

“The 45 companies that are included in this year’s event have proven that they have what it takes to grow their company’s bottom line,” said LVB Publisher Mike O’Rourke. “The managers, owners, and employees of these organizations work tirelessly to improve the future of their companies, which, in turn, helps the entire Greater Lehigh Valley region.”
