April 2022 Issue of LVStartup Has Been Released

The April 2022 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about an interview with Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba’s Maraleen Shields, champion cyclist Mandy Marquardt visiting Penn State Lehigh Valley, and anew program at Lehigh University’s Baker Institute promoting diversity in entrepreneurship.
Other stories included a Lafayette College discussing her book about women in the workforce, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania helping create or retain 7,300 jobs in 2021, and Saladax announcing a global distribution agreement with Beckman Coulter for antipsychotic drug tests.
The issue also spotlights upcoming events, including an online open house for Lehigh University’s Technical Entrepreneurship program, a presentation and book signing with author Paco Underhill, and the Ben Franklin iXchange!
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is the Colony Meadery, which is always seeking to push the boundaries of taste by producing the boldest and most innovative meads in the world.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
