April 2019 Issue of LVstartup E-Newsletter Has Been Released

The April 2019 issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, has been released.

This month’s edition highlights stories about the new Made Possible in Lehigh Valley marketing campaign, startup companies joining the Pi space in Bethlehem, Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s new welding lab, and Penn State Lehigh Valley contributing $38 million to the Pennsylvania economy.
Other stories include the release of LVEDC’s annual report, Lehigh Valley LaunchBox announcing microgrant recipients, an Easton bowling alley becoming a new Hearst Magazines headquarters, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania investing $210,000 in regional manufacturers.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including the next “LaunchBox Ladies: From Passion to Profit” event, a legislative update with U.S. Rep. Susan Wild, the third annual Innovation and LV Collegiate Business Pitch Summit, and the bi-annual Lehigh Valley Meet the Buyers Expo.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
