The Lehigh Valley has 62 sovereign municipalities, including 3 cities. Understanding the perspectives and needs of these stakeholders is critical to healthy economic growth. LVEDC’s strategic plan includes engaging with leaders from all those municipalities on local development priorities and improved competitiveness.
These meetings are structured so LVEDC can learn about what’s happening in each municipality, from business development to housing trends to sewage treatment capacity. It’s important to learn about the issues associated with development in every municipality while taking into account the diversity of land size, population, and local priorities.
The information that LVEDC gathers from talking with municipal leaders is a crucial component of the overall economic development strategy for the region.
These ongoing, purposeful conversations with our municipal partners are, an important opportunity to share the strategies of LVEDC and open new connections between them and other resource partners with whom we are engaged.
LVEDC invites you to reach out and say hello. We want you to learn about you and answer your questions about us. It’s our job to listen. It’s our partnerships that will make us successful with helping businesses come here, start here, and grow here.
