September Issue of Monthly LVstartup E-Newsletter Released

The September issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, was released today.
It includes stories about a newly-released video showcasing the transformation of downtown Allentown, the Lehigh Valley LaunchBox accepting applications for small businesses micro-grants, and Lehigh University offering a part-time technical entrepreneurship certificate program.
Other featured stories include Freshpet Kitchens being featured on a national tour, OraSure Technologies reporting strong second-quarter earnings, and three Allentown manufacturers growing due to two loan programs.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including LVtech hosting a meetup, the Lehigh Valley Meet the Buyers Expo, the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association’s (PEDA) 2017 Fall Conference, and the Lehigh Valley March of Dimes Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Awards.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Xverity, a digital healthcare company that is focused on patient relationship management solutions in the outpatient market, creating a fully integrated network of service providers to create holistic relationships that save money, make money, and engage patients.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
