March Issue of LVstartup Monthly E-Newsletter Released

The March issue of LVstartup, a monthly e-newsletter about entrepreneurs and startups in the Lehigh Valley, was released today.
It includes stories about Winter Paralympics athletes using skis made in the Lehigh Valley, Ben Franklin Technology Partners announcing the iXchange award winners, this year’s “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” contest, and a round-up of available incubator space in the Lehigh Valley.
Other featured stories include Ben Franklin’s work resulting in 5,097 new or retained jobs in 2017, a California tech company opening an East Coast branch in Easton, the growth of startups Allentown’s business incubation program, CACLV helping hundreds of businesses start, survive, and grow in the Lehigh Valley.
The issue also spotlights several upcoming events, including LVEDC’s 2018 Annual Meeting, Lehigh’s EUREKA! Ventures Competition, LVTech’s annual hackathon, the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Business Pitch Summit 2018, and the 2018 Ben Franklin iXchange.
Additionally, LVstartup features a Lehigh Valley startup each month. This issue, the company is Vizinex RFID, an Allentown-based company that designs and manufactures RFID tags for diverse asset tracking applications, from rugged environments in the oil industry, to medical devices to long-range vehicles.

LVEDC’s Entrepreneurship Council of the Lehigh Valley aims to improve the entrepreneurial environment of the region by listening to its entrepreneurs, identifying their unmet needs, communicating regional entrepreneurship initiatives between council members, and connecting local resources to continue the development of new entrepreneurial support initiatives.
LVstartup receives input from various organizations that serves the local entrepreneurial community, including LVEDC, the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation at Lehigh University, Lehigh Valley Tech, the Allentown Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), the Bethlehem Department of Community and Economic Development, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Penn State Lehigh Valley, and others.
